Captain America: The First Avenger: Military Hair Rule Ignored

In “Captain America: The First Avenger,” Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell, is seen with her hair down while in uniform. While it was common for women to wear their hair down, women in the Armed Services were expected to have their hair up at all times when in uniform.

This rule was in place to ensure a neat, professional appearance and to prevent hair from interfering with their duties. The film, set during World War II, portrays Peggy as a strong and capable officer. Still, this small detail about her hairstyle doesn’t align with the military regulations of that era.
