Ocean Sunfish

Commonly known as Mola mola, the Ocean sunfish is amongst the most massive bony fishes in existence. The adult fish tips the scales at about 545 lbs to 2,505 lbs. Their physical makeup looks like a fish head with a small tail attached. The species inhabits the temperate and tropical waters of our planet.
It derives its name from its habit of sunbathing near the water surface. They attract smaller birds and fish, which feast on the parasites on their massive bodies. The fish often leap into the air sometimes so that they can shake off parasites as they splash back down into the water.
