A Long History In Mining

Modern mining began in Nevada in the mid-1800s with gold discovery in a stream leading to the Carson River. That led to many people digging various sites in hopes of finding their own cache of the precious metal. The success of these ventures helped in making the US the second-largest producer of the lustrous yellow material in the world.
This achievement came at a great price, though. Mining is a dangerous activity, as proven by the 137 deaths recorded in Nevada’s digging sites from 1869 to 2017. So, it isn’t farfetched that Frank might have encountered the ghost of one of these unlucky people at Horton Mine.
