PENNY SMITH – EASTWOOD, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE – 63 YEARS

Having worked for many of Britain’s top TV news networks, Penny Smith can truly consider herself one of the most respected people on TV there. She has worked for “Sky News,” “BBC Radio London,” “Classic FM,” and “talkRADIO” and has been hosting a drivetime radio slot for “Scala Radio” since 2021.

She started her career way back in 1977, working as a writer for the “Peterborough Evening Telegraph.” After leaving the industry to backpack across South America and Southeast Asia, she returned, performing a short stint for Radio Television Hong Kong. She has also appeared in films like “Garfield 2” and been a guest on the show “Loose Woman.”
