Julie Walters – 71, Edgbaston

Following her decades-long contribution to the world of film and television, Julie Walters was named the Queen’s Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1999. Growing up, her Irish parents wanted Walters to become a nurse, but as it turns out, fate had other plans for the iconic actress.
After her graduation from Manchester Metropolitan University, Walters entered showbiz in 1975, starring in Second City Firsts and The Liver Birds during her early career. The Mama Mia! actress recently starred as Mrs. Medlock in Marc Munden’s family drama The Secret Garden.
