Peter Dean – 82, Hoxton

Before he landed his dream gig as Pete Beale in 1985, Peter Dean made his presence in British television known with appearances in Law & Order in 1978, followed by three episodes as Fangio / Jeff Bateman in Coronation Street. His upcoming film Freedom Dance is currently in production.

When Dean joined EastEnders to play the ex-husband of Kathy and Pat, he had no idea his recurring role would see him stay as a regular cast member of the hit sitcom for the following 25 years. The Hoxton native appeared in more than 1,000 episodes of the popular show, cementing his legacy in British television.
