Leslie Phillips – 97, London

English actor Leslie Phillips may not ring a bell to the younger generations, but he used to be popular in the 1950s. The comic genius grew famous for the Doctor series and the movie Ian. Fans may also recognize his voice as the Sorting Hat in the highly successful Harry Potter franchise, as well as his catchphrases “Ding-Dong” and “Hello.”
Phillips has sporadically appeared in films in recent years, perhaps due to his age, but in a 2007 interview, he said he had no plan to retire. He turned 97 in April 2021 and is set to appear in the upcoming movie Darkheart Manor as Jeremiah.
