Angela Lansbury – 95, London

Angela Lansbury made a name for herself as one of Hollywood’s hottest young prospects before going on to showcase her acting versatility in Broadway musicals during the ’60s. In an August 1943 story, Variety described the London-born starlet as someone who had gone from being virtually unknown to a movie star in only four days.
By 1944, Lansbury could be seen on the big screen in films like Gaslight and National Velvet. Today, she is best known for her recurring role as Jessica Fletcher in the CBS series Murder, She Wrote. Her new film, The Adventures of Buddy Thunder, is currently in production.
