Working Extra Hard

Most folks would assume that women aren’t fit to join the Marine Corps, given the extensive physical training that needs to be done in order to become one. This is why it’s primarily men who opt to participate in such. So, when Shannon showed up, many of her peers were rightfully surprised.

This assumption only meant that Shannon needed to work extra hard compared to other trainees. She needed to be more patient and determined if she was serious about her goals. Yet, was Shannon able to surpass her peers who’ve been training ahead of her?
