Bell AH-1Z Viper – Cost: $17.6 Million

Another all-weather chopper is the Bell AH-1Z Viper. It is to the United States Marine Corps what the AH-64 Apache is to the Army. Used for a variety of missions, it’s capable of flying day and night as well as harsh weather conditions. All that while carrying payloads as heavy as 5,764 pounds and going as fast as 222 knots.
With that said, it’s no surprise that the American military commissioned 25 new AH-1Z Vipers in 2019. The contract cost almost half a billion dollars. Making the calculations, the acquisition definitely won’t break the bank as much as the other military vehicles we’ve discussed so far.
