A Huge Discovery About Water Disappearance From Mars

Wet and dry climates on Mars didn’t happen all at once. Neither did water vanish from it all at the same time. Instead, it underwent a gradual transformation over millions and millions of years as water levels rose and fell. Research suggests that Mars originally had an ocean the size of Earth’s Atlantic Ocean, with a water content half that of Mars.

According to NASA, the Atacama Desert in Chile is Earth’s driest spot. However, the Red Planet is very dry, a thousand times drier than the harshest portions of the desert. Previously, it was discovered that Mars had dried up entirely, roughly three billion years before that time.
