A Rock Structure Reminiscent Of A Prehistoric Fish

If you take a closer look at the images available online, you can see a rock structure that resembles a prehistoric fish. According to NASA, “large fossils are not expected” since Mars’ atmosphere “never had enough oxygen to sustain sophisticated life.” You should not be fooled into thinking a fish-shaped rock discovered on Mars is the remains of previous aquatic life on the “Red Planet.”

NASA released a raw picture from the Curiosity rover’s left navigation camera in 2016, which can be seen here. There’s a fish-like creature lurking just below the image’s bottom right corner, but it’s hard to make out at first glance.
