Johnny Briggs – 85

Best known for playing Mike Baldwin from 1974 to 2006 in the soap opera Coronation Street, Johnny Briggs started acting in the late ’40s. As to why he turned his back on the long-running show, the 85-year-old cited his busy schedule as the reason. However, after this project, Briggs appeared in several shows, including in Maple, Holby City, Moving Wallpaper, and Echo Beach. Now in his prime years, the English thespian seems to have retreated from the spotlight. The father of six last performed for small screens in 2009 as John Cotham in Doctors. The last we heard from Briggs was in 2018, when his daughter was arrested.
