Isn’t It Ironic?

The irony of there being a lazy option at the one place where it’s not ideal to be lazy isn’t lost on any of us. Having escalators outside the gym kind of defeats the purpose of patrons keeping active when they have an option to not exert themselves entering the place.

It could be that this establishment is trying to prevent its patrons from getting injured by walking up the stairs. The irony is that annually roughly 17k people are injured and 30 killed in incidents involving escalators and elevators. This establishment is better off removing these, or leaving them off and making them the challenging entrance to the gym.
