Deering High School

A part of the Portland Public Schools district, Deering High School is one of the oldest academies in Maine. It was established in 1874 as a one-room wooden structure with only 31 students. Yet, at present, the institution boasts a striking suburban campus. Did you know that the central building was destroyed by fire in 1921?
The Tudor Revival fashioned building that stands now is a renovated structure with many great amenities. Students have access to recitation rooms, a library, and a vast assembly hall. However, what’s most spectacular is the 100,000 square feet multipurpose sports field that is unmatched for safe playing.
