Shortridge High School

Academies with well-known alumni become popular one way or another. Yet, Shortridge High School didn’t get famous only because of renowned author Kurt Vonnegut, a graduate of the academy. It was also tagged as the most beautiful public high school in Indianapolis. After all, the archaic Shortridge building appeals to the eyes with its Classical Revival style design.
The incredible campus consists of a massive art gallery, a 1400 sq ft stage, a dance studio, and a vast auditorium that fits over a thousand students. One can also spot five highly equipped science labs, landscaped gardens with greenhouses, and an enormous sports field. Now, who wouldn’t want to go to such a school?
