Marysville Getchell High School

Opened in 2010, Marysville Getchell High School shot to popularity because of its modern yet eco-friendly and energy-efficient design, which reportedly saves 353000 kilowatt-hours of energy annually, cutting the electricity cost by $27,705. Maybe that’s why the facility is awarded many design awards, the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International Award being one of them.
The infrastructure features skylight reducing the use of artificial lights with exterior dressed in high efficient glass and aluminum and cement board. Despite being one of the newest built schools, it has already produced sports stars like Malakhi Knight, who plays as an outfielder for the University of California.
