Emma Willard School

Design pundits must have come across the Collegiate Gothic style of infrastructure, and the ‘Emma Willard School,’ quite assuredly, best exemplifies this realm of architecture. Almost two centuries have passed since Emma Willard set up the institute; yet, more than 300 young girls find an educational haven in the beautiful premises of this New York-based school every year.
As the school sits on a 137 acre stretch of entrancing suburbs, the main complex comprises 30 colossal buildings, and the whole campus is just on the edge of the Hudson River. Well, it must be serendipitous for those, like the ‘Coming Home’ actress Jane Fonda, who got a chance to be at this prestigious academe.
