Joke’s on All The Guests

As we’ve covered in the previous items, the garter would be thrown to the groomsmen, but in this case, this doesn’t seem to be the undergarment of his wife! Obviously, the couple was in a joking mood and played a prank on the guests, and judging by their faces; everyone enjoyed the skit!

Although this tradition would elicit laughter these days, that wasn’t always the case. According to The Knot, the garter was once considered a sign of luck, so guests would do everything they could to get it, even if it meant ripping it off from the woman.
