Dan Lost All of His Money
Dan sat on the cold, hard pavement, feeling the world’s weight crushing his spirit. His wife had divorced him two weeks earlier, he had been fired from his job the same day, and now he had lost almost all his assets. The irony of being poor enough to be thrown onto the street was not lost on him.
Desperation clawed at his insides as he turned to his friends for help, hoping for a miracle. Ari, his oldest friend, handed him some money for groceries.
