1936 Bugatti 57

What? You thought Bugatti just rocked up in 2005 like BOOM! Veyron? Oh no, the manufacturer had been around the block a great many times before creating that iconic car. The company had been around since 1909, although it even went bust and was only revived again in 1998.
But it was the original owner’s son, Jean Bugatti, that designed this 1936 Bugatti 57. It was a completely new design and different from the ones for previous models. It’s super rare too and, between 1936 and 1940, only 710 were produced. One sold on auction for $30 million in 2010.
