1983 Ferrari 288 GTO

While many car manufacturers are shooting for higher-end market entry, non have more pop culture appeal than Ferrari. Much of this is due to their dominance in the Formula 1 racing scene; the rest is because they look so beautiful and perform like a dream.

The Ferrari 288 GTO was on the market from 1984 to 1987 and was built to help bring the company more mainstream sales. This was after it was discovered that sales were dropping due to competitor developments. The automobile proved popular, and although it was never federalized in America, people still imported it as a grey product.
