1976 Lotus Esprit

The 1976 Lotus Esprit is a trend and record-setting vehicle. It was one of the first vehicle models to be built in Giorgetto Giugiaro’s now-famous folded paper design. It was also constructed entirely out of fiberglass like a Formula 1 car, and the wedge shape wasn’t a common thing at the time.
It’s moderate on the performance front, though, with a horsepower of 160. It takes 6.8 seconds to go from 0 to 60 and tops out at a speed of 138mph. It could, however, drive underwater… or at least it did in the James Bond film “The Spy Who Loved Me.”
