Geena Davis – Social Activist
Although she started as a model and was seen as one of the most beautiful and popular women alive in the ‘80s, Geena Davis is also a very talented actress. In 1982, she took a step forward into her acting career and made it into her first movie, Tootsie. Between the `80s and the`90s, she was on Beetlejuice, The Accidental Tourist, and that was just the beginning for her. However, Geena actually wants to change the world by defending women’s rights and she is very passionate about it. She is a supporter of the Women’s Sports Foundation and in 2004 created the Geena Davis Institute on Gender and Media.
