The Godfather (1972)

The Godfather is an adaptation of the book written by Mario Puzo in 1969. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, it stars Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone and Al Pacino as Michael Corleone in the lead roles. A classic in every right, the movie won Oscars for the Best Picture, the Best Actor, and the Best Adapted Screenplay at the 45th Academy Awards on March 27, 1973.
In terms of money, it made a collection of $134.9 million domestically and $111.1 million internationally. In December 2020, Al Pacino completed 30 years as Michael Corleone since his return in The Godfather III.
