Forrest Gump (1994)

Based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel, Forrest Gump is a romantic drama. The movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis and features Tom Hanks in the lead role alongside Robin Wright, Sally Field, and Gary Sinise.
The movie, that has now become a classic, made more than $330 million at the box office and over $347 million internationally. It became the second highest-grossing movie in 1994, the first being The Lion King. On September 23, 2020, Tom Hanks was seen on the show In Depth with Graham Bensinger, where he revealed that he’d given money from his own pocket for the running scene in Forrest Gump.
