Mary Poppins (1964)

Released on August 27, 1964, Mary Poppins is directed by Robert Stevenson and features Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins. The movie revolves around a maladjusted family with a father who works at a bank and a mother involved in politics. The nanny responsible for the children runs away due to their mischievous behavior, after which, Mary Poppins comes to the family’s aid.
The movie made a box office collection of over $100 million and an adjusted domestic collection of over $700 million. As for Julie Andrews (aka Mary Poppins), she has recently lent her voice to Lady Whistledown on Bridgerton, a Netflix drama that premiered in December 2020.
