Fantasia (1941)

Another animated gem from Walt Disney, Fantasia was released on November 13, 1940, and was directed by Joe Grant and Dick Huemer. First released as a theatrical roadshow, it was shown in thirteen US cities, the first being at Broadway Theatre in New York.
The star cast included Leopold Stokowski and Deems Taylor. After its roadshow release, the movie didn’t make much profit. But when it hit the theatres on December 17, 1969, it started gaining popularity. The film made a box office collection of $76.4 million. Though that might not seem like a lot of money, according to today’s time, that amounts to $748.22 million.
