Jaws (1975)

Directed by Steven Spielberg and released on June 20, 1975, Jaws is based on Peter Benchley’s novel written in 1974. The movie revolves around the threat a great white shark poses to people, and how a professional hunter, a marine biologist, and a police officer team up to put an end to the shark.
It was filmed by camera operator Michael Chapman and was the highest-grossing movie until Star Wars: A New Hope. The film made an adjusted domestic gross of $1.15 billion and an unadjusted gross of $260 million.
