Thunderball (1965)

Spy movie Thunderball featured Sean Connery as James Bond and was directed by Terence Young. A part of the memorable James Bond series, it was released on December 9, 1965. While it was still in production, writers McClory and Whittingham sued the makers since it was based on a novel they co-wrote by the same name. The lawsuit settlement finally happened in 2016, after over 50 years!
Thunderball made $63.6 million at the box office and earned $77.6 million internationally. Next in line in the James Bond Series is No Time to Die. It was scheduled to release in November 2020 but has been pushed to April 2021.
