Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999)

Directed by George Lucas, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace is a prequel to the Star Wars series. The total investment in the movie was $115 million, and actors Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Ahmed Best were seen in lead roles. 

The movie attracted a lot of media hype as it was released 16 years after the last Star Wars movie. Naturally, the box office collection was expected to be huge. The movie earned $474.5 million at the box office, and the unadjusted domestic gross was $813.7 million. Releasing on January 22, 20121 is Liam Neeson’s next action thriller film, The Marksman.
