Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

When someone talks about adventure films, Raiders of Lost Ark is sure to come up. The first movie of the Indiana Jones franchise, it’s directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Lawrence Kasdan. It was released on June 12, 1981, and was the highest-grossing movie of the year. The star cast included Harrison Ford, Denholm Elliott, Karen Allen, and Ronald Lacey in lead roles. 

The money made at the box office was around $248.2 million in 1981 that would amount to $797.8 million today. On 10th December 2021, Steven Spielberg’s next masterpiece, West Side Story will be released.
