Sleeping Beauty (1959)

A favorite among children, Sleeping Beauty was released on January 29, 1959, and was Disney’s 16th animated full movie. It’s based on the book by Charles Perrault and revolves around Princess Aurora whose voice was given by actress Mary Costa.
The movie made a box office collection of $51.6 million and an adjusted domestic collection of $623.5 million. Though Mary Costa, aka Princess Aurora, is 90 years old now, her unforgettable voice from the movie still echoes in fans’ ears. But looks like old age is taking a toll on her since in May 2020 she announced that she won’t respond to fan mails after August 2020.
