Tippi Hedren, 88 years old

Alfred Hitchcock’s films The Birds and Marnie made actress Tippi Hedren famous in their respective leading roles. She has also appeared in the films Seven Million Dollar Woman, Tough and Heartfelt and 1994’s The Birds II. The actress is best known for her roles as the grandmother of newly minted actress Dakota Johnson and the mother of actress Melanie Griffith. Hedren’s retirement from acting is only temporary. She continues to be charitable, raising funds for various organizations, particularly animal welfare and conservation.
