Don’t Ever Mess With an Aussie Snake

As the place the world’s most terrifying reptiles call home, Australia is unsurprisingly filled with dangerous snakes. There are up to 170 species of land snakes in the country, and some of them are incredibly venomous. The inland taipan, for instance, is the world’s most toxic land snake, and its venom can kill a grown man in less than 45 minutes!
Strangely, though, snake bites aren’t as common as most would presume in Australia. While an astounding 50,000 snake bites are recorded annually in India, most snake-related accidents in the land down under occur when people are trying to show off by either killing or holding dangerous snakes.
