Gator in a Bun

There are all kinds of alligator burgers out there, and there are at least 10 restaurants serving alligator meat in Miami, Florida alone. This classic Southern recipe may include many types of ingredients, but there’s always one must-have element: the meat has got to be gator!

If you’re not a big fan of the idea of eating alligator, keep in mind some people have said alligator meat tastes like quail, with a slightly fishy flavor. The meat is often chewy and has a firm texture. Others have described its taste as a cross between chicken and rabbit.
