Egypt

The North African nation of Egypt has a unique heritage that bears testament to its title as one of the oldest countries in the world. It may even be ironic that a country with one of the longest histories lacked involvement in the FIFA World Cup.

Egypt has only qualified for the tournament on three occasions. First, in 1934, they became the first Arab and African nations to participate in the World Cup. Then they had to wait nearly six decades before qualifying in 1990 and finally in 2018. And on all occasions, they never won a match in the finals.
