Being one of the smaller European countries has kept Croatia from taking the reins at the FIFA World Cup. Since gaining independence in 1991, their national team has made six appearances. But the most fantastic year for the team has to be 2018, when they reached the finals for the first time.

Even with their eventual defeat to France, this die-hard fan couldn’t resist showing up to cheer for her beloved team. After all, they did finish second place in the tournament. Of course, the talented manager who led the Croatian team to finish as runner-up in Russia that year was Zlatko Dalic.
