The Colombian national team is aptly named Los Cafeteros because their home country is the world’s coffee epicenter. But just as their coffee beans are nothing to joke about, the team is just as renowned for their impressive performance during World Cup events.

2014 was their best year yet; they reached the quarter-finals and placed third in the final rankings. However, they failed to duplicate that feat in 2018 after finishing 9th in the round of 16. If this die-hard fan with the flag had hoped to see her country echo its 2014 success in the following years, their failure to qualify for Qatar 2022 must have been disappointing.
