Nikki Blonsky gained instant fame when she landed the starring role in the 2007 feature film Hairspray, winning a Critics’ Choice Award and getting nominated for a Golden Globe and SAG Award for her performance. She also received a Teen Choice Award nomination for her part in the series Huge. Blonsky is proudly plus-sized and believes she landed her roles in film and television because of her size. She also lives by the philosophy that you don’t need to be thin to be successful; you just need to be yourself. Blonsky recently appeared in an episode of the series Life Unfiltered.
