The Queen of Soul music herself, the late Aretha Franklin, had managed to become successful at anything she actually tried, except for one thing: losing weight. She gave us some amazing songs like Respect and (You Make Me Feel) A Natural Woman. Throughout her career, Aretha had struggled with extra pounds. When the 2010s came, she found out that she suffered from diabetes, while her weight imposed threats on her heart’s condition. Franklin denied she underwent any procedures regarding her weight, but many experts claimed that her 85-lb-weight loss was the result of her going under the knife. Sadly, Franklin passed away in August 2018, after battling illness.
