King of the Ring —  The Rightful Champion

In June 1993, Hart emerged victorious in the King of the Ring tournament. He defeated Razor Ramon, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Mr. Perfect, becoming the first to win the title of King of the Ring twice. Hart then got into a rivalry with Jerry “The King” Lawler when the latter asserted that he was the rightful king. The two settled the feud on the same year at SummerSlam, to determine once and for all the rightful owner of the title of The World Wrestling Federation Undisputed King. Hart had defeated Lawler originally with a Sharpshooter, but because he refused to release the hold, he ended up being disqualified, resulting in Lawler getting the title.
