Won His First WCW — World Championship Victory

In 1999, Hart challenged Sting (real name Steve Borden) for his WCW World Heavyweight title, and he ended up losing. Due to a controversy surrounding the WCW World Heavyweight Championship matches, a tournament had taken place on Nitro for the title. Hart went against Goldberg for his first fight and managed to defeat him, winning the title for the United States Heavyweight Championship, a title he had won four times already. Hart won his WCW World Heavyweight Championship when he defeated Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman, Sting, and Chris Benoit on Mayhem.
