WCW — Fresh Start

The damage caused to Hart by the Montreal Screwjob was not easy to repair. However, Hart had his fresh start in the WCW. His first appearance was on the Monday Nitro, with him serving as a special guest referee due to a 60-day no-competing clause in his contract. It was also announced that Hart would be joining the New World Order. After his no-competing clause expired, Hart had his first feud and first WCW match with Ric Flair, which resulted in Hart’s victory. He soon got into a second match on Nitro against Chris Benoit, which he also won.
