1929 Cadillac Hearse – The Eight-Column Gothic Ride

Cunningham earned a reputation as a premium manufacturer, whether it’s of cars, coaches, or buses, with a conservative bent. Hearse—all eight columns and carved panels—were starting to fall out of favor in the ’20s. Still, Cunningham kept up their production into the ’30s.
The hearse itself is an undoubtedly strange-looking vehicle, with what looks like a Merry-Go-‘Round on the back. Is it for both adults and kids to shout “WEEE!” as the ride passes by? We aren’t sure, but it would look great in any gothic music video, even ones made these days.
