The history of applying lipstick is as colorful as the hues. From the Suffragettes’ red shade symbolizing strength to the Ancient Greeks requiring prostitutes to wear red pigment on their lips, the story has so many sides throughout its interesting evolution. So even when statement eyes were all the rage, that didn’t stop women from experimenting with lip glosses.
