Hair Shades of Expression

Hair dyeing has become so common today that it is difficult to imagine when it wasn’t. However, it wasn’t until the cultural decade that coloring one’s hair became commonplace. By the late ’60s, it was so prevalent that the U.S. government stopped asking for hair color information on passports.
In the ’70s, attitudes toward locks being dyed changed dramatically, and the use of color products was openly encouraged by beauty brands. If you were sporting a colorful style, you were the model of that time. A 2018 study by researchers at the University of Tampa found that men thought brunette curls to be the most attractive.
