Inspired By Cotton Candy

This makeup was almost flawless, but the heavy blush and white highlighting powder took things in a different direction. The center of her face looks more like a cotton candy explosion with an overwhelming pink and white hue.

It doesn’t help that her eyeshadow matches in pink and white, blending her entire look into one big pastel mess. The makeup artist had a vision, but the excessive use of blush and highlight turned a potential masterpiece into a lesson in moderation. Sometimes, less is truly more, especially when you want your client’s face to look like a work of art and not a color palette.
