Another example of beauty and brains, Lissette Gonzalez is a Mississippi State University Meteorology graduate who began covering the weather for CBS4 News in Miami in 2007 before transferring to Los Angeles to work for KTLA Prime News.

Gonzalez received the Miami New Times’ Best Meteorologist in Miami award in 2013. She made her hometown proud on numerous occasions by consistently coming first in the Miss Miami and Miss Florida pageants, encouraging other young girls to emulate her success. However, the journalist’s expertise extends beyond weather; in addition to covering news and entertainment, she has also hosted a number of award ceremonies.
