Mayte Carranco gained notoriety before becoming a weather girl when she came out on top in the Miss Televisa Monterrey contest in Mexico. Although she had a passion for music growing up and even published a few singles, she chose to pursue journalism and has done so admirably.

Since joining News Televisa Monterrey in 2007, the newscaster has been compared to fellow Mexican weatherwoman Yanet Garcia. Carranco reports not only the weather but also models and has a sizable following on Instagram, where she shares pictures of her loved ones and ongoing projects. She is undoubtedly a fan favorite, and it is understandable.
